Twisting Scriptures
People twist the Bible Scriptures for several reasons. The most obvious one is that they don't agree with what the Bible says and it makes life easier (in the short term) to have Scripture that is acceptable to them!
But the second reason, and one that affects many people, is the deliberate misinterpretation of Scripture in order to control and dominate other people. Scriptures can be twisted by church leaders, evangelists and cult groups in order to control people.
